About Us

The Environmental Compendium Association

Protecting Nature. Strengthening Communities. Advancing Sustainable Development.

The Environmental Compendium Association is a Cameroon-based environmental organization committed to advancing environmental protection, climate action, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, environmental education, and sustainable community development.

We believe that lasting environmental change is achieved when communities are at the center of conservation and development solutions.

Cameroon is endowed with exceptional natural resources and biodiversity, including forests, wildlife, wetlands, rivers, coastal ecosystems, and agricultural landscapes. These ecosystems provide essential services and livelihoods for communities across the country. At the same time, they face increasing pressures from climate change, pollution, deforestation, habitat degradation, unsustainable resource use, waste, and other environmental challenges.

Our organization works to contribute to practical and locally relevant solutions that protect the environment while strengthening the resilience and well-being of communities.

Our Vision

A Cameroon where communities and ecosystems are resilient, biodiversity is protected, natural resources are sustainably managed, and every generation can benefit from a healthy and sustainable environment.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support community-driven environmental conservation and sustainable development initiatives that protect ecosystems, strengthen climate resilience, promote environmental awareness, empower young people and communities, and contribute to sustainable livelihoods.
